Introduce yourself to our readers\u2014tell us about your cafe!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paper Mill was established in 2020 . We are a micro-roastery based in Tallinn, Estonia. Our aim is to cater local coffee connoisseurs and develop Estonian coffee culture as a whole. Our cafe is located in the building of the former Pulp and Paper Factory\u2019s fire station, completed in 1912.<\/p>\n

As we are mainly a coffee roaster, our coffee roasting takes place in the same place and it\u2019s visible to all our cafe customers.<\/p>\n

Which roaster or roasters do you serve?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We roast our own coffee. We do like to rotate our coffees a lot, for example last year we served to our customers around 40 different micro lots around the world.<\/p>\n

What is the neighborhood like where you’re located? What’s some other cool stuff nearby?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s an industrial area which is still very much up and coming. The rest of the paper factory is currently being redeveloped as offices and leisure hub. Estonia\u2019s biggest distillery is located just across the road from us. We are a three-minute walk away from the Tallinn bus station and five-minute drive from the airport.<\/p>\n

What’s something cool or unique about your cafe you want folks to know?<\/strong><\/p>\n

When we were designing and planning the whole concept we definitely felt that we wanted to use reused materials and reuse fittings as much as possible. Inspired by the machines and industrial elements, the once alive Paper factory is transformed into an artisan coffee factory of sorts. Reminiscent of that, the menus are designed on paper rolls, and the cardboard tubes become ceiling lights.<\/p>\n
